Collaborate with scientists and local communities, among others, to co-create powerful artwork that speaks to one or more of the Mission goals Complete and exhibit your artwork at a venue you organise to engage the public within the project timeframe Participate in the online workshops offered by TIDAL ArtS in autumn 2025 Document your work and engage via your social media channels Support sustainability beyond the project by repurposing your artwork or having the final artwork displayed in multiple locations over time through your own efforts Remain part of the TIDAL ArtS Alumni Group for future networking and collaboration

Beneficiary & submission

How to Apply Applicants can apply at tidalarts.eu by following the instructions provided there. Applicants should read the call document in its entirety before applying. When completing the online application form, applicants will be asked to submit three documents as attachments: a project proposal (template provided, CV and artistic portfolio). Eligibility Check & Evaluation After submission, all applications will go through an eligibility check. Applications that pass the eligibility check will then be evaluated by an evaluation committee based on the following criteria: Relevance of the project to the Calls – 30%: The project aligns with the Mission’s goals and the TIDAL ArtS Lighthouse Calls objectives, demonstrates a deep understanding of the target community, and reflects the artist’s embeddedness within that community. 2. Artist's experience and profile – 25%: The artist's portfolio showcases relevant work, innovative and meaningful artistic contributions, and experience with participatory and co-creative processes. 3. Quality and circularity of the project design plan – 25%: The project has clear objectives, adopts sustainable practices, ensures cost-effective resource allocation, follows a solid work plan, and demonstrates artistic quality while respecting and preserving cultural heritage. 4. Impact – 20%: The project engages citizens and stakeholders through co-creative processes, inspires and educates communities with innovative approaches, and has a comprehensive plan to showcase and communicate about the artistic work. Use Your Art to Inspire Others to Restore Our Ocean and Waters! TIDAL ArtS will award 5 financial grants of 15,000 Euro to artists, collectives, and creatives across the Danube River-Black Sea Lighthouse region who can inspire and engage people in the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030 through their unique creations. These artworks will connect communities to their local waters, celebrate that connection, reflect the Mission's themes, and highlight the four key ocean and water basins that serve as regional hubs for inspiration and action. The 5 awarded artists will be supported in their processes through a variety of ways, including a series of workshops. These workshops will bring the artists together with scientists, civil society, educators, and more for an introduction to the Mission and the themes affecting their bodies of water, as well as provide information and tools on co-creation and citizen engagement. Combined, this support will help ensure that the artists’ projects are participatory in nature and meet the Mission’s goals.
