HERIFORGE seeks to harness the expertise of three excellence hubs in Cyprus, Poland and Türkiye on XR technologies, advanced IT and digital humanities infrastructures as well as cultural heritage resources to provide an interregional ecosystem of innovation. The HERIFORGE 2nd Open Call will finance up to 6 Proposals to address specific Challenges defined by the HERIFORGE Hubs. Successful applicants will receive financial support of up to €50,000, along with technical mentoring for a maximum duration of up to 6 months, which is divided into 3 stages: Stage 1: Plan Phase, during which the beneficiary should deliver an Individual Mentoring Plan (including a design, challenges and activities planned, and a budget), the duration of this stage is up to 1 month and, after completing it, the beneficiary will receive the 20% of the requested grant (up to 15.000€). Stage 2: Development Phase, which should lead to a Technical Report of the Prototype Release (minimal requirement). The duration of this stage is 3 months and, after completing it, the beneficiary will receive the 50% of the requested grant (up to 25.000€). Stage 3: Release Phase, which should lead to a Technical Report on the Conducted Demonstration (minimal requirement). The duration of this stage is 2 months and, after completing it, the beneficiary will receive the 30% of the requested grant (up to 15.000€).
Beneficiary & submission
Submission through the application form available on: the Fundingbox Platform. The selection of the Open Call proposals will be carried out in a six-step process. Step 1 will check the proposals against eligibility criteria. Step 2 (if necessary) will check the alignment of the proposal with the project objectives and scope. Step 3 will involve independent experts’ evaluation to assess the proposal according to the criteria described in the Terms and Conditions. Step 4 will invite top-scoring applicants to pitch their project during an online Jury Day. Step 5 will involve the HERIFORGE consortium choosing the proposals based on the external evaluation results, pitching day evaluation and the objectives of the HERIFORGE project. Finally, step 6 will include the review of legal documents before the Sub Grant Agreement signature. For further information see the Open Call Terms & Conditions, Section 1.
Further information
HERIFORGE 2nd Open Call is looking for innovative projects developing technical solutions in the use of immersive technologies for cultural heritage. Applicants can be individual SMEs (including startups), NGOs or Natural persons, located in: Cyprus, Poland or Türkiye or The Member States of the European Union and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) or Associated Countries (AC) to Horizon Europe. The entities have to be established in one of the countries of the national Hubs ecosystem: Cyprus, Poland or Türkiye. Applicants from any other EU Member State and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) and Horizon Europe Associated Countries will be eligible if they demonstrate, in the application, local footprint in those regions (i.e. local staff, business record).
