X2.0 - Driving Deep Tech Growth is an EU-funded deeptech growth program that seeks to ensure the scaling up of EU deeptech startups by providing custom, industry-focused, 5 months growth programs that will act as a catalyst in delivering market-ready applications and technology solutions in 5 key impact areas. The fourth impact area is Smart Cities & Sustainability. Beneficiary & submission
The forth X2.0 Open Call and its 5-month growth program aim to foster the launch, development, growth, and scaling of new products, services, processes, and integrated solutions in the Smart Cities & Sustainability domains. This time around we are looking for teams that aim to leverage the latest technology or scientific discoveries to enhance the quality of life for residents and urban environments all the while promoting sustainable practices and way of life. This cohort focus encompasses a wide range of sub-topics and areas of focus which can be seen to overlap and interconnect like: urban mobility & clean transportation, urban planning and development, public safety and security, energy efficiency, circular economy, resource efficiency, water and air quality, waste management, climate change mitigation, environmental monitoring, resilience and disaster preparedness. Our highly selective and individually tailored program is looking for 10 deep-tech startups and SMEs to take part in the fourth growth program. The submission process consists in completing an application form available at F6S portal before the call deadline. The evaluation process is fully detailed in the Guidelines for Applicants and can be found on the Open Call Page. Please, carefully read them before submitting your proposal. Selection criteria: Economic and business potential (25%) Excellence (30%) Impact (30%) Special focus (10%) - Seal of Excellence holders, Startups are coming from Widening Countries or that have female entrepreneurs / founded or co-founded by women, holding a top management position (chief executive officer (CEO), chief technology officer (CTO), chief scientific officer (CSO), or equivalent). Motivation (5%) Evaluation will be performed by a mix of external and internal evaluators.
