BoostUp! South East 2023

Description

EIT Manufacturing is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, and it is one of nine innovation communities within EIT. EIT Manufacturing’s main goal is to bring European stakeholders focused on manufacturing together in innovation ecosystems that add unique value to European products, processes, and services and inspire the creation of globally competitive and sustainable manufacturing. EIT Manufacturing brings together more than 80 members (universities, research institutes, and businesses).

Beneficiary & submission

EIT Manufacturing launches the “BoostUp! South East 2023” call and competition aiming at selecting and supporting early-stage and mature startups from Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, and Türkiye willing to internationalise and scale up their business across Europe. Finalist startups shortlisted from the 1st phase will receive a “growth package” service support of up to four months duration that is offered by the Business Creation team of EIT Manufacturing. During the 2nd phase, the 10 finalists will be invited to pitch in front of a jury composed by independent experts during the live, in-person event BoostUp Final organized by EIT Manufacturing South East, in Athens, on November 29th, 2023.  The top 3 winning startups selected from the 2nd phase, will receive prize awards to support their European expansion strategy. The prize fund is as follows: • First prize: €7.500 • Second prize: €5.000 • Third prize: €2.500 To be eligible, applicants must  the following conditions: • The applying startup must be registered in one of Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, and Türkiye; • Startups established and operating for at least one year have to prove revenue traction (existing reference customers); • The business development plans (incl. financial aspects) shall be disclosed; • The application package should include a completed application form, pitch deck, logo and company registration certificate. • The applying startup is NOT a Partner Member of EIT Manufacturing, or a Linked Third Party of a Partner Member of EIT Manufacturing. Startups that have been shortlisted for the 2nd phase of any edition of BoostUp! Competition that took place or will take place before the launch of the “BoostUp!
