Beneficiary & submission

Submission The submission will be done through the official online submission platform (Sploro platform), which is directly linked to the Ventures Thrive website. Only applications received directly through the online submission platform will be considered eligible.  We will provide applicants with an editable template of the application form to let them prepare the application offline before introducing the information in the form available on the Sploro platform. Sending this form template in any other format and via e-mail or any other means will automatically disqualify the submission. Evaluation The evaluation process will consist of three stages: Eligibility Criteria: To that the applicant complies with all the eligible requirements of the Ventures Thrive Call. Automatic Sorting: The evaluation process will automatically sort the proposals according to a set of indicators monitoring certain factors contained in the information provided in the online form. Remote Evaluation: After the automatic sorting, an external evaluation board with experience in deeptech technologies, entrepreneurship, finance, and business development will be appointed to review each application. This appointment will only be done after the closure of the call to select experts without risk of conflict of interest Further information about the evaluation process can be found in the official Guidelines for Applicants.

Further information

The types of activities to perform that qualify for receiving financial support vary depending on the stage reached by the startup: Phase 1 – Pitch Contest. Funded activities: participation in the pitch contest and the creation of the Master Plan. Both are the deliverables needed to unlock the flat-rate payment of €5,000. Phase 2 – Growth Programme. Funded activities: Participation in the programme and definition of the “Master Plan”. This plan will provide concrete and realistic metrics to reach during Phase 2 that will unlock the payments. Phase 3 – Prizes. Funded activities: Participation in the final ceremony. The evaluation panel will determine the best three companies based on the results achieved during the earlier phases and demonstrated growth.
