InnoEnergy Masters+ Scholarship — MSc in Advanced Energy Systems and AI (AI4GreenDeal)

Open

Beneficiary & submission

The AI4GreenDeal project delivers a 120-ECTS Master’s double-degree programme combining energy-domain knowledge with data and AI skills and with innovation and entrepreneurship training, complemented by flexible, stackable self-standing modules. Through this call, the consortium offers to students (Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP)) in the form of full or partial scholarships to attract highly qualified candidates and to widen access to the programme, in line with the project’s target of at least 30% participation from women and/or individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Two scholarship schemes are offered under this call:

  1. Energy Impact Scholarships — awarded to applicants who demonstrate strong academic preparation and potential to contribute to the energy transition.
  2. Diversity, Entrepreneurship and Digital Champions (DED) Scholarships — awarded across three strands (DEI; Entrepreneurship; Digital Champions) to promote diversity and recognise entrepreneurial or digital-innovation excellence.

Applications are submitted through the InnoEnergy Masters+ online application tool within the published application window:

https://apply.innoenergy.com/courses/course/55-masters-advanced-energy-systems-and-ai.

The MSc in Advanced Energy Systems and AI operates a rolling intake with five application rounds between 21 September 2026 and 30 May 2027; scholarship decisions are taken after each round within the overall framework and budget communicated for the intake.

Round Application window Results announced Allocation of budget
1 21 Sep 2026 – 1 Nov 2026 Early December 2026 ~30%
2 5 Nov 2026 – 19 Jan 2027 Early February 2027 ~30%
3 25 Jan 2027 – 9 Mar 2027 Early April 2027 ~20%

5 23 Apr 2027 – 30 May 2027 Mid-June 2027 ~10%

No separate scholarship application is required: every applicant admitted to the programme is automatically considered for an Energy Impact Scholarship and admitted applicants who submit a 1–2 minute motivation video and pay the registration fee may in addition be considered for a DED Scholarship.

Each application is assessed in three stages. The Admissions Office first verifies document validity, general admissibility, recipient eligibility, and exclusion criteria. The Programme Steering Committee — composed of academic representatives of the partner universities acting as independent experts — then confirms programme-specific eligibility, evaluates, and ranks eligible applicants against the published award criteria.( https://ai4greendeal.com/content/uploads/2026/09/AI4GreenDeal_Indicative_Evaluation_Rubrics_070926.pdf ) The programme-independent DED Selection Committee additionally evaluates DED applicants.

Before scoring, every evaluator signs a declaration of confidentiality and absence of conflict of interest. Committee decisions require a quorum, and each round is closed with a signed selection-confirmation report. Scholarship awards are approved by the FSTP Management Office and communicated by official acceptance letter issued by the Admissions Office and signed by the Programme Director. Applicants must confirm participation within five working days of the acceptance letter.

Applicants may appeal decisions on general admissibility or programme-specific eligibility within the period stated in the rejection communication. Scholarship and ranking outcomes are not subject to academic appeal but may be reviewed for procedural compliance.

In case students decline their offer for a scholarship or scholarship funding cannot be allocated because of applicants not fulfilling the minimum thresholds, the remaining budget will move to the next available cut-off moment. If after the fifth cut-off moment, budget is remaining, it may be allocated to students from previous rounds in the order of scoring (highest to lowest).
