Only applicants from countries and regions participating in the call are eligible for funding! The list of participating countries and regions can be found in Annex I of the Call Announcement. Submission & evaluation process Submission Procedure The Co-funded Call is conducted as a two-step-procedure. As a first step, a short proposal has to be submitted and, following invitation, a full proposal can be submitted in a second step. Deadline short proposals is 21 January 2026, 12 am CET Deadline full proposals is 21 July 2026, 12 am CEST Short and full proposals must be submitted via the submission system only: https://agdata.ptj.de/call1. Short as well as full proposals that are not submitted on time within the submission system will not be considered for evaluation and will be rejected. Please note that the submission of a short proposal is compulsory. Applicants cannot submit a full proposal at a later stage when no short proposal was submitted and invited to submit a full proposal. Step 1 Short proposal phase The objective of a short proposal is to present the project idea and the consortium without providing much detail on the work plan. The detailed template for the short proposal with explanations is provided in Annex II of the Call Announcement, which can be found on the submission website https://agdata.ptj.de/call1. Only eligible short proposals according to the eligibility criteria as described in Call Announcement will be evaluated. Evaluation Eligible short proposals will be evaluated against the two equally scored evaluation criteria Excellence and Impact as described in the Call Announcement. Step 2 Full proposal phase Following the invitation to submit a full proposal, the Coordinators of the research proposals can submit a full proposal via the submission system https://agdata.ptj.de/call1. The detailed template for full proposals with explanations is provided in Annex III of the Call Announcement available on the submission website https://agdata.ptj.de/call1. Only eligible full proposals according to the eligibility criteria as described in call document will be evaluated. Evaluation Full proposals will be evaluated against the following three equally weighted evaluation criteria Excellence, Impact and Quality and Efficiency of the Implementation as described in the Announcement.

AgData, the European Partnership ‘Agriculture of Data’, is an ambitious, large-scale European research and innovation endeavour between the EC and 30 Member States (MS) and Associated Countries (AC). The aim of AgData is to “enhance climate, environmental and socio-economic sustainability and productivity of agriculture, and increase the capacity for policy monitoring and evaluation through exploiting the potential offered by Earth Observation (EO), other environmental and agricultural data, and using newly developed digital & data technologies in Europe to support the parallel digital and green transitions, with emphasis on utilising the umbrella effect”, consolidating and linking the efforts of existing initiatives. Data-based solutions are key assets to boost the resilience of the sector in terms of economic performance, attractiveness and sustainability and strengthen its competitiveness in the short-, medium- and long-term on local and global scales. They are also key enablers for implementing and assessing the performance of European and national policies smartly and efficiently. The further development of sustainable and competitive agricultural practices will require the sector to simultaneously reduce its environmental footprint, respond to the decline in biodiversity, while ensuring food security and adapting to climate change. The partnership Agriculture of Data will enable the sector to meet those challenges and cope with trade-offs, in particular through providing a foundation for decision support, for e.g. producers and policy-makers. The overall scope of the scientific research, development and innovation needs targeted in the Agriculture of Data partnership are comprehensively described in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA).
