Skills-based CPD courses

Description

This call aims at supporting specialised skills-based Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for the Audio-visual media (AVM) sector, designed to have an immediate impact on participants’ careers by improving their professional skills, opening new job opportunities, and sparking innovation projects within their organisations. Thecall focuses on proposals within the strategic strands of intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and digital storytelling. These shorter, focused courses must be granular, outcome-oriented, and primarily designed for asynchronous online delivery in English to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Proposals are required to demonstrate a practice-oriented pedagogical approach that encourages critical reflection on technological ethics and digital sovereignty. Applicants must define specific, measurable learning outcomes and outline a balanced assessment strategy, to evidence how students use the new skills in a professional context. This call is open to legal entities in EU Member States and/or Horizon Europe Associated countries, with both mono- and multi-beneficiary applications accepted. Selected projects will receive an EIT grant of up to EUR 75 000 per project. More details can be found below.

Beneficiary & submission

Applications must be submitted through the electronic submission platform between 20/07/2026 and 14/09/2026, 17:00 CEST (Berlin time). Applicants must submit the application form, the budget plan and EIT Culture & Creativity funding template, and a Gantt chart with the project timeline and work packages. After the submission deadline, EIT Culture & Creativity will carry out a structured evaluation process. First, the PMO will perform the admissibility and eligibility check. Proposals passing this stage will proceed to an external quality evaluation by three independent expert evaluators against the award criteria, including the Horizon Europe award criteria. Proposals passing the quality evaluation will then be assessed in the internal portfolio selection stage by the EIT Culture & Creativity Selection Committee, covering aspects such as KIC portfolio strategic fit and compliance with the financial sustainability principles and Knowledge Triangle Integration. The indicative evaluation period runs from September to November 2026. Results are expected to be communicated by the end of November 2026, followed by a 30-calendar-day standstill period. Publication of results is expected by the end of December 2026, and signature of the Subgrant agreement – Project agreement is planned for December2026-January 2027, subject to the completion of procedural, contracting and legal entity validation checks.

An online information session for this call will take place on 30/07/2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST (Berlin time). Registration is required through the registration form. The Teams meeting link will be shared with registered participants after registration. The session will cover the call content, topics and requirements, as well as general procedures such as the submission and evaluation process.
