The purpose of this invitation is to recognize and support projects that have a significant impact and align with the values of the European Code Week to promote Programming, Computational Thinking, and digital skills across Europe. It is part of the European Commission's “Reinforcing the digital skills of young people, especially girls” initiative. Enabling the development of innovative and scalable coding activities. Supporting initiatives that integrate coding into educational contexts and foster engagement.
Beneficiary & submission
The invitation, terms and conditions, and the application form will be published on the EU Code Week platform, the hub’s website, and social media. A selection committee will evaluate the applications received based on the published criteria.A total budget of €11,000 will be available for small grants, to be distributed among a maximum of eight winners, until the total available funding of €11,000 is reached. Each winner may receive up to €2,500, with the exact amount depending on the number of selected applicants and the quality and scope of their proposed activities. This means that not all winners will necessarily receive the full €2,500, but rather an amount proportionate to their project proposal and the remaining available budget, depending on the quality and scope of the proposals submitted. The evaluation procedure will be based on following criteria: quality of application; relevance to CodeWeek priorities; Educational impact; scalability and replicability. The grant winners will be announced after evaluation on partners website and social media. Grant agreements will be signed with awarded organizations.
