Description

The aim of this call for projects is to support local initiatives in France that encourage the discovery of programming and digital technologies. It is part of the European Commission's “Reinforcing the digital skills of young people, especially girls” initiative. Project proposals must meet one or more of the following objectives: Introduce young people to programming and the digital sector through accessible, fun activities. Integrate technology and programming into education to make learning more interactive and stimulating. Encourage collaboration between the various players involved in digital education. Promote gender diversity and equality in digital professions.

Beneficiary & submission

The application process Interested organizations are invited to submit a project proposal by 5:00 pm on July 15, 2025. Applications must be submitted via this form HERE: https://framaforms.org/eu-code-week-appel-a-projets-2025-1742968474. Each applicant must submit: A description of the project, its objectives and expected impact. Details of the implementation plan, timetable and resources required. Information on the applicant organization, including relevant experience. Each applicant must also upload a budget proposal for the project with their submission. The budget template can be downloaded from the call for projects web page. A selection committee will evaluate the proposals. Proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria: Eligibility: compliance with the defined conditions of participation. Clarity and completeness of presentation: The quality of the project presentation in terms of clarity and completeness. Coherence of design: The alignment of the project's objectives with Code Week's mission, the relevance of the proposed activities to these objectives and their suitability for implementation. The feasibility of the project is also examined in relation to the planned timetable and available resources (human, organizational and technological). Education in programming and computational thinking: Analysis of the central place given to programming and computational thinking, taking into account the pedagogical approaches used (block languages, disconnected coding, etc.), the tools and technologies mobilized. Project impact: Consideration is given to the scale of the initiative in terms of the number of classes, schools and categories of participants involved, as well as the local context. Particular attention is paid to the participation of girls and the promotion of STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Prioritization of projects: Wherever possible, priority will be given to initiatives involving secondary school pupils and integrating Code Week referent teachers in their implementation.
