EIT Manufacturing's prize competition BoostUp! Iberia 2024 aims support mature startups from Portugal and Spain that are working on net-zero industry technologies and are ready to scale up across Europe. Up to 10 Finalist startups will be shortlisted for the 2nd phase and will receive a “growth package” service support of two months delivered by the Business Development and Innovation team of EIT Manufacturing. The finalist startups will pitch in front of a jury of independent experts during a live session at Casa da Música (Porto, Portugal) on December 4th, 2024. The top 3 startups from the pitch will receive: First prize: 7,000 EUR Second prize: 5,000 EUR Third prize: 3,000 EUR

Beneficiary & submission

“BoostUp! - Iberia 2024” is an EIT Manufacturing competition for spin-offs, startups, and scaleups established in Portugal and Spain in the manufacturing sector working on net-zero industry technologies ready to scale up across Europe. To be eligible, applicants must the following conditions: Be an entrepreneurial team, with a minimum of two members. Team members must be residents of Portugal or Spain. Company must be incorporated in Portugal or Spain. Each team or team member can submit only one application. Applicants must prove revenue traction (existing reference customers). The applying startup is NOT a Partner Member of EIT Manufacturing or a Linked Third Party of a Partner Member of EIT Manufacturing. Individuals or companies that applied to the EIT Manufacturing BoostUp! 2020 competition, in the EIT Manufacturing BoostUp! 2021 RIS competition and in the BoostUp! 2022 and 2023 competitions are NOT eligible. Companies shall have a valid PIC Number before the call deadline. Gender equality and diversity in the team will be positively evaluated.
